Civic and Voter Education

NID’s civic and voter education work equips citizens with a clear understanding of their rights, responsibilities and the mechanics of Namibia’s democratic institutions. Through workshops, school programmes and community dialogues, NID builds the confidence for Namibians to participate meaningfully — from casting an informed vote to holding leaders accountable between elections.

This area of work reaches learners, first-time voters, community leaders and civil society partners across all fourteen regions, in partnership with regional councils, schools and electoral bodies.
