Namibia Needs Me (NNM) is a 33-month civic education project (Sept 2023–May 2026) led by the Namibia Institute for Democracy (NID) and Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), with EU support.
Our mission is to strengthen Namibia’s democratic culture by equipping citizens especially youth with the knowledge and skills to participate, promote good governance, and defend human rights. Through workshops, mentorship, and an interactive platform, NNM trains learners, students, teachers, and civil society in advocacy, leadership, and engaging teaching methods.
Aligned with Vision 2030, the Harambee Prosperity Plan II, and Article 17 of the Constitution, NNM empowered citizens ahead of the 2024 national and 2025 local elections.
By investing in education, dialogue, and youth leadership, NNM is cultivating a generation of active citizens to shape Namibia’s democratic future.
